How it went
A proper backcountry weekend.
The crew settled in at Virginia Backcountry Cabins on Thursday, shared dinner, gathered around the fire, and got ready for the first full day on the bikes.
Friday brought Reddish Knob, loose gravel, a trailside tire-plug clinic, lunch in Warm Springs, and a few harmless bike naps from Sam's BMW, Pat's KTM, and Anthony's Aprilia. The day ended with dinner, a campfire, and cake for a 30th anniversary.
Saturday turned wet and muddy. The route was adjusted for the conditions, lunch at Blue Grass Mercantile hit the spot, and the evening wrapped with suspension talk from Brooke at Motoworks and a Rabaconda tire-change demo. One final Sunday loop closed out a weekend built around riding, learning, and community.
